The Golden Elephant trophy together with a cash prize was awarded to Harald Hamrell as best director for the film "A Witch in the Family" at the International Competition Section of the 16th ICFF at Hyderabad, India on the 20:th of November 2009.
AWARDS
Livet i Fagervik (Life in and around Fagervik) was nominated for Kristallen (the Swedish Emmy Award) for best Drama serie
during 2008-2009. The serie is produced by the Swedish Public Television and Harald has directed the first opening
four episodes.
Om Stig Petrés hemlighet (Nothing to be ashamed of), mini tv series
The mini TV serie was awarded with Kristallen (The Crystal) for best TV Drama during 2004-2005. (The Swedish Emmy award).
Also awarded at The International TV-festival at Reims, France, with three prices. The Professional jury price for best mini TV series and also the audience price for best mini TV series. It also won an award for best music.
RAMONA (RAMONA), mini TV series
RAMONA was nominated for an International Emmy award in New York, 2005.
EN HÄXA I FAMILJEN (A Witch in the Family),feature film
Several awards in Canada, Germany and Holland. It also won the First Prize at the 16th International Children and Yout Film Festival in Isfahan, Iran.
VINTERVIKEN (Winter Bay),feature film
In 1997 Harald and scriptwriter Sara Heldt were nominated for a Guldbagge (Swedish Oscar) for best screenplay.
DEN VITE RIDDAREN (The White Knight), mini TV series.
Won a bronze award at The New York Festivals in 1995.
SCENER UR ETT HANDFATS LIV (Scenes from the life of a wash-basin), short film
Has won several awards around the world. One of them was the Blue Ribbon Award at the American Film and Video Festival in San Francisco in 1990.
